Project Overview
Joseph’s primary concern was updating the aging plumbing in his shower, which included replacing the outdated fixtures and repairing some persistent leaks. Our team performed a thorough inspection and came up with a plan to update the shower with modern, efficient, and aesthetically pleasing hardware and fixtures.
Shower Upgrades and Valve Replacement
We began by removing the old three-handle shower valve and replaced it with a new, single-handle pressure balancing Kohler model. This required our crew to cut out the existing tile and install new water lines from the valve to the basement, connecting with both the main and second-floor showers.
Next, our crew installed bracing inside the wall to support the new valve and fitted the unit with a chrome remodel plate to cover the old holes. Our team also installed a matching Kohler tub spout to ensure a cohesive and updated look for the shower and tub.
We finished this part of the job by fitting the shower with new Kohler shower doors, trimmed and cut to match the tub opening, ensuring a perfect fit and seamless look.
